Reese

Reese grew up in Sumter, South Carolina and has lived in Charleston since 2005. Reese graduated from the University of Georgia with a psychology degree. Then, she worked in Columbia at an employee benefits firm for a couple of years. She was recruited to a financial firm on Daniel Island to start the benefits division for them in 2005.

In May of 2006, she took a leap of faith, hung her shingle and started Workplace Benefits, LLC in Charleston.

Since then, Reese has helped countless individuals and companies with their benefit needs. Mostly, she enjoys listening to people’s stories and discovering a creative solution to solve their particular issues. Of course, it’s even more fun when she saves clients money!

Reese married Bob Gately in 2014 and he subsequently joined the agency. It’s officially a family business! With Bob, Reese has two “bonus boys,” Edwin (15) and Emmett (13). Together, Bob and Reese have a sweet baby girl, Adele. In her spare time, Reese enjoys attending hip hop dance and aerobic classes, yoga, running & playing tennis.

Reese looks forward to speaking with you soon about your benefit needs!

Bob

Bob’s family bounced around a good bit with his father’s job at Eastman Kodak, but they call Rochester, NY home. Bob has lived in Charleston, SC since 2001.

Originally, Bob came to Charleston through a medical device job, where he was an operating room representative for over 15 years with Covidien and Integra Lifesciences.

In 2014, Bob married Reese McFaddin, who owned Workplace Benefits. With the company experiencing rapid growth and Bob ready to have less travel with his job, it made sense for Bob to take the leap and join Workplace Benefits.

Since then, Bob has developed a passion for helping people through the changing rules and regulations that the Affordable Care Act has brought about since 2014. In addition to health insurance, Bob advises clients on their dental, vision, life, disability and long term care needs.

When time permits, Bob loves to travel and experience new cultures. In addition to travel, Bob enjoys being with his family, playing tennis and cooking. He is the proud Papa to Edwin (15), Emmett (13) and Baby Adele.

He looks forward to assisting you soon with any of your benefit needs!
